Activities with third-graders from the "Il.R. Blaskov" Primary School in Shumen were conducted by experts from the Directorate of the "Shumen Plateau" Nature Park and the Northeastern State Enterprise. At the Summer Information Center, the children got acquainted with the natural resources of the Shumen Plateau, participated in educational games related to the inhabitants of the forests. The event is related to World Environment Day, which is celebrated on June 5. This year's motto is related to the protection of atmospheric air quality. The experts explained to the children that fires are a cause of air pollution and the destruction of forests and wild animals. On this occasion, part of the games were related to the protection of forests from fires, the children learned what they should do if they notice a fire in forest areas and the rules for starting an open fire in the forest.
At the end of the activity, the children visited the observatory on the Shumen plateau.
