The Park Directorate offers the numerous visitors of the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve designated areas for short-term relaxation or picnics, including shelters, benches, tables, fireplaces, gazebos, and fountains. You can find their location by following the signposts.   

Tourist Pansy shelter. It can be reached on foot or by car. It is located south of the Monument "Creators of the Bulgarian State". In the forest around the shelter there are benches, tables, fireplaces and a fountain. The meadows around are suitable for sports games.

Tourist shelter "Detelina". It is located near the Monument to the Students. It can be reached by forest road, on foot or by car after turning off the panoramic asphalt road. In the shelter and around it there are benches, tables and fireplaces. There is a fountain. In the area of "Dalgite Polyani" near the shelter "Detelina" there is a gazebo and corners with benches, tables and fireplaces.

Tourist shelter "Kursista". It is located on  The panoramic road Monument "Creators of the Bulgarian State" - Shumen Fortress. It has two fireplaces, tables and a children's playground. 

Tourist shelter "Diana". It is located west of the town of Shumen near the asphalt road Shumen - Novosel village. The wide open spaces around it offer opportunities for practicing various types of sports.

Tourist shelters "Avtostroitel". They are located in the "Osmarski Kolonii" area, next to the "Malka and Golomya Halvadzhia" fountains.

Tourist shelters "Shumen Fortress" and "Aleko". They are located in the "Hijata" area, near the Shumen Fortress. They have playgrounds built there. They have fireplaces, hearths and additional benches and tables nearby.

Tourist shelter "Bigora". It is located in the "Kyoshkove" area, along the route of the thematic route "Dendrological Trail". It is reached from the "Kyoshkovete" forest park, the "Orbita" complex and continues along the asphalt alley of the route. The shelter has benches, a table and a fireplace, and a natural spring flows nearby. A few meters away is the "Opera" area, where there are also places for recreation.

Tourist shelter "Uspeh". It is located near the "Pazachnitsa" villa in the area of the Old Town and the Shumen Fortress. The shelter is accessible via a forest road. It has fireplaces. The routes to the "Bukatsite" hut and "Karst under protection - a gift for the departed" pass near the shelter.

Viewpoint "Khan Krumovi Porti". It is located west of the historical and archaeological reserve "Shumen Fortress". Around it there is a tourist infrastructure for short-term recreation: benches, tables, fireplaces. The open spaces are suitable for sports.

Viewpoint "Divdyadovski rock wreaths". It is located on the eastern slopes of the Shumen Plateau. It provides an opportunity to get acquainted with rock phenomena and rock monasteries. It can be reached on foot along an extreme route that starts from the end of the Divdyadovo district, or along a forest road near the information center of the Monument "Creators of the Bulgarian State".

Recreation areas: 

Recreation area at the "Mermaid" ("Sulumara") cave. It is located at the entrance to the cave, there is a fountain.

A recreation area south of the Monument "Creators of the Bulgarian State". There is a gazebo, fireplaces, benches and tables, and a children's corner.

Recreation areas along the panoramic road Monument "Creators of the Bulgarian State" - Shumen Fortress

"Six Beech" recreation area. It is located in the area of the former Prophylactorium. Access is from a turnoff on the Old Town - Novosel village road. 

Tourist gazebo "Long Meadows". It is located in the area of the same name, west of the Detelina shelter. It can be reached via a forest road. 

Tourist gazebo "The Hut"It is located west of the historical and archaeological reserve "Shumen Fortress", in close proximity. Access is from a turnoff on the road "Old Town - Novosel village". 

Tourist gazebo "Forest Labyrinth". Part of the "Forest Labyrinth" children's trail behind the Summer Information Center of the "Shumen Plateau" Nature Reserve. Suitable for children.

Tourist gazebo "Alley for people with disabilities"It is accessible via a path for people with disabilities, and there are additional benches and tables in the area, as well as sports facilities - parallel bars.
