We celebrated Bat Month with lessons with children. Forest educators from the Shumensko Plateau Nature Reserve visited the Smehorani Day Care Center in Shumen and, together with the children from grades 3 and 4, played, drew, and learned about bats.
So the little ones already know that winged creatures are useful to us humans, they hibernate, and their families are called colonies. We “hid” in a cave, just like bats do. Everyone drew their own bat and promised that they were now friends with the little creatures.
