An Advisory Council to the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve has been established.

An Advisory Council was established under the Directorate of the Shumen Plateau Nature Park. The Council is an advisory body on issues related to the management and development of the park and includes representatives of local authorities, non-governmental organizations and institutions.

"I am convinced that the Advisory Council will support our direct activities related to tourism, infrastructure maintenance and educational initiatives," said the director of the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve, Eng. Krasimir Hristov.

The first meeting was attended by representatives of the Municipality of Shumen, the Regional Government, the Social Democratic Party of Bulgaria, the Bulgarian Youth Union, the Shumen Youth Union, the Preslav Youth Union, the Shumen University "Ep. Konstantin Preslavski", the Hunting and Fishing Association "Sokol", the Regional Inspectorate for Environment, Water and Fire Protection Shumen and the scout clubs in the city and experts. The Rules of Procedure of the Council were reviewed and adopted, according to which meetings are held at least once a year, and citizens can also participate in them. Various joint initiatives can be organized by agreement in the Advisory Council.

Those present suggested that business representatives be included, emphasizing that the most important task is the preservation of Shumen's natural wealth.

All documents related to the work and decisions of the Council will be available to citizens and will be published on the website of the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve.
